Родился в 1945 году. Закончил Химический Факультет МГУ в 1970. Работает в НИИ ФХБ с 1970. Кандидат химических наук с 1975, доктор химических наук с 1986. Профессор с 1995. В 2009 году - почетный доктор от университета Турку (Финляндия). Опубликвал около 140 статей в научных журналах.
